Bank minta tiga bulan slip gaji untuk apply loan. Tapi mereka nak satu fail PDF, bukan tiga.
Jadi anda buat apa yang semua orang buat. Google “merge pdf”. Klik website pertama. Drag tiga slip gaji masuk, tunggu progress bar, tekan download.
Slip gaji sendiri, mungkin anda sanggup ambil risiko tu. Dokumen kerja lain cerita.
- Penyata akaun, invois, maklumat gaji
- Kena tunggu — upload, proses, download. Fail besar, lagi lama.
- Ada limit — saiz fail, bilangan fail, atau berapa kali sehari sebelum dia minta anda bayar.
- Perlu internet — WiFi office lambat atau line putus, kerja pun tersangkut.
- Iklan dan pop-up di merata tempat.
Tak ada satu pun yang teruk sangat. Tapi bila buat hari-hari, semua ni makan masa.
Cara yang lagi senang: tool offline
Sebenarnya kerja merge, split atau compress PDF tak perlu server pun. PC anda sendiri dah cukup kuat untuk buat semua tu.
Tool PDF offline buat semua kerja terus dalam PC anda:
- Takde upload — fail tak pernah keluar dari komputer anda
- Takde tunggu — takde progress bar upload dan download
- Takde limit saiz fail dari tool
- Boleh guna walaupun takde internet
Cara guna pun sama macam website — drag fail masuk, pilih apa nak buat, siap.
- 100% offline — takde upload, takde account, takde tracking
- Free sepenuhnya — takde versi berbayar, takde trial
The bank wants three months of payslips for your loan application. But they want one PDF file, not three.
So you do what everyone does. Google “merge pdf”. Click the first website. Drag the three payslips in, wait for the progress bar, press download. Done in two minutes.
Nothing wrong with that. Plenty of people do it every day — not because they are lazy, but because they don’t know there is another way. This article isn’t here to scare anyone. It just shows what actually happens when you press that upload button, and that there is an easier way.
What actually happens when you upload
That PDF-merging website doesn’t do the work on your PC. It does it on its server.
That means, to combine those three files, the website first has to take a copy of them:
- Your payslips leave your PC.
- They travel over the internet to a third-party server — usually a company you don’t know, and the server may be in another country.
- The server processes them, then sends a new file back to you.
We are not saying the website keeps or misuses your files. We can’t prove that, and most of these sites have a policy of deleting files after a few hours. But one fact stays the same: the moment you upload, a copy of that file is out of your control. What happens to it after that depends on another company’s policy, not yours.
For your own payslip, maybe you are willing to take that risk. Work documents are a different story.
Why this is a problem for work documents
Think about what usually sits in office PDFs:
- Copies of a customer’s or staff member’s IC
- Contracts and quotations
- Account statements, invoices, salary details
- Forms with other people’s names, addresses and phone numbers
These aren’t only your documents. This is other people’s data that your company holds.
That is why many companies have an IT policy against uploading work documents to outside websites — including “free” websites for converting or merging files. Plenty of staff don’t realise the policy exists until the IT department points it out.
If the document holds personal data, PDPA (the Personal Data Protection Act 2010) comes in too. A company is responsible for looking after the personal data it collects — and sending that data to a third-party server without a clear reason is not something the company wants to explain later.
You don’t need to be a lawyer to get this. The simple question is: if your boss or IT asks where this file went, can you answer?
The small problems you’ve got used to
Apart from the data question, free PDF websites come with a few things we’ve accepted as “normal”:
- Waiting — upload, process, download. The bigger the file, the longer it takes.
- Limits — on file size, number of files, or how many times a day before it asks you to pay.
- Needs internet — slow office Wi-Fi or a dropped line, and your work is stuck.
- Ads and pop-ups everywhere.
None of it is terrible. But when you do it every day, it all eats time.
The easier way: an offline tool
Merging, splitting or compressing a PDF doesn’t actually need a server. Your own PC is more than powerful enough to do all of it.
An offline PDF tool does all the work right on your PC:
- No upload — the file never leaves your computer
- No waiting — no upload or download progress bars
- No file size limit from the tool
- Works even without internet
It is used the same way as a website — drag the files in, choose what to do, done. There is only one difference: everything happens on your PC.
So for the payslip example: open the tool, drag the three files in, put them in order, press merge. One new PDF appears in your folder. The three originals are not changed at all.
EZ PDF Organizer — the offline tool we built
We built this tool because of exactly this problem: simple PDF jobs that people upload to websites because they don’t know there is another option.
EZ PDF Organizer does six things — Merge, Split, Reorder, Rotate, Compress and Delete pages. That’s it. Other tools have more features, and that’s fine. This one’s strengths: offline, easy, straightforward.
- 100% offline — no upload, no account, no tracking
- The original file is never changed or overwritten — results are always saved as a new file
- Compress keeps text sharp and still searchable
- Windows 10/11, no admin rights needed
- Completely free — no paid version, no trial
If you’re in IT support or an engineer, this is the kind of tool you can recommend straight away to the colleague who keeps asking “how do I combine these PDFs?”
Need to sign or stamp a PDF?
The same problem happens when you need to sign a document. Many people print it, sign with a pen, scan it back — or upload it to a free “sign PDF” website. The work file leaves the PC again.
EZ PDF Editor does that job offline on your PC:
- Sign — a saved signature: draw it, type it, or upload a picture of it
- Stamp — text stamps like DITERIMA (received), with today’s date
- Text — type straight onto the page; ticks, crosses and dates in one click
- Redact, page numbers and watermarks
Same as the Organizer: no upload, no account, and the result is saved as a new PDF.
